 8  The Order of Saint Thyrian has hired you to exorcise a demon from the remote mining settling, Ara’s Flame. The settlement has steadily lost residents as the mine has closed—all who remain stubbornly cling to their home knowing they will die out with the last flame of Saint Ara.
 9  The order has provided a broken, short sword, its tip and about a thumb of blade jagged on the diagonal. They tell you it is the baneblade, the sword that cuts smoke, and say no more. They will kill you if you don’t return it.
10  You can only take horses so far up the highlands: Once you start on the craggy, winding mountain pathways, you are on foot.
11  As Ara’s Flame is a mining settlement, there is a small shrine to Saint Ara, tended to by NAME, an itinerant nun, who holds no respect for anyone affiliated with Saint Thyrian.
