1  INT. CARL'S HOUSE – DAY

 4  Vera moves silently through the house. She can hear something that is
 5  probably the television. She peeks through the living room door, and
 6  sees CARL'S FATHER on the couch, drinking a beer and watching a movie.
 7  There are several empty beer cans and a walking stick on the floor.

 9  Vera continues walking through the house, and finds a bathroom, and in
10  the medicine cabinet she finds some sleeping pills with Carl's father's
11  name on them. She takes the bottle.

13  Vera moves back near to the living room, and sits down around the corner
14  where she can stay hidden, but hears what happens.

16  A long time passes.

18  Eventually Carl's father grunts and gets up, picks up his walking stick,
19  and hobbles to the bathroom. Vera quickly gets into the living room, and
20  puts several sleeping pills into the open beer can, then hides again.

22  Carl's father comes back, gets back on the sofa, and takes a big swig of
23  the beer.

25  Some time passes again. Carl's father continues drinking beer.

27  Eventually Carl's father starts falling asleep, and the beer can falls
28  from his hand.
