  4  The ObCo office still has an FBI presence, but the programmers have
  5  returned to work. Carl enters through the main door and walks to Alan.

  7  > CARL
  8  >> Good morning, Alan. What is the situation?
  9  
 10  > ALAN
 11  >> Good morning, Carl. We're still working on figuring out what exactly
 12  >> happened. The FBI is here to see that nothing new goes wrong.
 13  
 14  > CARL
 15  >> Is there anything you need me to do?
 16  
 17  > ALAN
 18  >> No, just stick around in case anyone needs you.
 19  
 20  > CARL
 21  >> Right. I'll do a quick inspection to see that our physical security
 22  >> is still working.
 23  
 24  Carl starts walking around, checking doors and windows. When he comes to
 25  the balcony (the same one Ville used for smoking), he goes out for a
 26  moment, takes a knotted rope from his back pack, ties one end on the
 27  balcony and drops the other. He then goes back inside, leaving the door
 28  unlocked.

 30  CUT TO BUILDING EXTERIOR: Vera emerges from behind a trash bin, and
 31  starts climbing the knotted rope.

 33  CUT TO INSIDE OFFICE: Carl continues his round around the office. Just
 34  when Vera sneaks inside, Carl starts shouting at the other end of the
 35  office.
 36  
 37  > CARL
 38  > <br> (Shouting)
 39  >> Hey, what, what's this? This window is open! Everyone come look.
 40  
 41  Alan and several FBI agents come running.
 42  
 43  CUT TO: ObCo's server room.
 44  
 45  Vera uses the diversion Carl has created to sneak into the server room.
 46  She sits at the computer, inserts a CD-ROM she has brought with her, and
 47  reboots the computer. Then she starts typing, quickly, and without
 48  hesitation. We see a Unix command line prompt appear, and various
 49  commands be entered. Eventually she inserts a USB key into the computer
 50  for a while and starts copying files to it.

 52  CUT TO: The ObCo open office.
 53  
 54  > FBI AGENT
 55  >> What do you mean, shouting like that because of an open window? You
 56  >> made us think something is really wrong. It's just an open window.
 57  
 58  > CARL
 59  >> You don't understand. According to the company security code, all
 60  >> windows must be kept closed and locked at all times. This one was
 61  >> open. Anybody could have climbed in.
 62  
 63  > FBI AGENT
 64  >> We're in the fourth floor.
 65  
 66  > CARL
 67  >> That doesn't matter. The rules say...
 68  
 69  > ALAN
 70  > <br> (Interrupts.)
 71  >> Look here, Carl, you'd better not make a ruckus about small
 72  >> violations of rules just now. Don't shout unless something is really
 73  >> wrong.

 75  > FBI AGENT
 76  > <br> (Shouts and points.)
 77  >> Hey! Who's that!
 78  
 79  > ALAN
 80  >> That's Vera X!

 82  > FBI AGENT
 83  >> Catch her! You there! Freeze! This is the FBI! You're under arrest!

 85  All the FBI agents in the room start running towards Vera. After they've
 86  taken a few steps, Carl shouts.

 88  > CARL
 89  > <br> (Shouting loud.)
 90  >> Everybody stop! I have a bomb! Stop and put your guns down!

 92  FBI agents stop and turn around, looking at Carl. They keep their
 93  weapons. They see Carl standing with his hands empty.

 95  > CARL
 96  >> I said drop your weapons.
 97  
 98  The agent nearest Carl shoots him in the leg, and then jumps on him with
 99  a colleague.

101  We see Vera look back just before she gets out through the balcony door.
102  She sees Carl go down.

104  CUT TO: Alan is also looking at what has happened to Carl, and looks
105  utterly devastated.
