# Northwood AppView
This repository contains the source code for the server-side components of Northwood, particularly the XRPC endpoints and Lexicons. This is the "heart" of the Northwood instance. The UI is a separate project which has not started at the time of writing.

We do not want racists, bigots, ableists, or transphobes to use Northwood. There are measures being taken to this end, including:
* A custom license designed to provide maximum freedoms to people with basic human decency. Hopefully this is most people, but it turns out it's not as many as I had hoped.
* In the future, certain labelers will be hard-coded in and used by default, to prohibit users with those labels from using any Northwood instance.

> The custom license requires a royalty for for-profit uses, such as managed hosting. Registered co-ops, non-profits, and individuals are exempt, but still encouraged to contribute. See the license for more details.
